SW500 Interface

PASCO'S original serial, SCSI and now USB based interfaces still set standards for ease of use and versatility. In environments where computers are older or in the advanced Physic's laboratory, Science Workshop interfaces remain the system of choice.

SW500 Interface

Not only does the Science Workshop 500 collect data directly to your computer, but you can collect data with just the interface and a sensor.

Students can set up an experiment using the 500, disconnect from the computer to collect data outside the classroom, and then reconnect for data analysis.

Portability

With a built-in battery compartment for 4 ‘AA’ size batteries, the Science Workshop 500 Interface can go just about anywhere and still collect data.

50KB Storage Buffer

The interface uses a 50KB storage buffer to store data runs and experiment setup information.

Cross-Platform Data

Logged data will open on either a Macintosh (including MAC OS X) or a Windows-compatible computer. The interface stores the sensor and data display information so it knows what experiment setup to open.

Blast Off with Model Rockets

Ever wonder how much thrust a model rocket engine produces? With the Science Workshop 500, a force sensor and an engine mounting attachment, your students can calculate acceleration, how high payloads would be propelled, the maximum velocity, and the total impulse for a complete engine burn.

SW750 USB Interface

PASCO’s 750 Interface combined DataStudio software is the electronic measurement centre for the modern physics lab.

Your students can measure force, time, temperature, pressure, position, acceleration, light, voltage, current, etc. Interfacing is no longer just for mechanics; it is for optics, waves and sound, electronics, nuclear, thermodynamics, etc.

The 750 Interface can be your Electronics Lab.

With the 250K sampling speed, 8X oversampling, and built-in function generator, your 750 Interface can replace three of the most common instruments in the physics lab: the digital voltmeter, the oscilloscope, and the function generator.

250,000Hz Sampling Rate

You can sample at 250,000Hz on a single analog channel. You’ll see a true, real-time oscilloscope and incredibly smooth sound sensor data.

Built-in 1.5 W Function Generator

Any experiment requiring a frequency up to 50KHz and 1.5 watt (300mA) output can be run without additional power amplification.

20KHz Oscilloscope

With the 750’s increased sampling rate, the oscilloscope becomes a real-time scope with refresh rates up to 40 frames per second.
